House Intelligence releases impeachment findings

“The evidence is clear that President Trump used the power of his office to pressure Ukraine into announcing investigations into his political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, and a debunked conspiracy theory that it was Ukraine, not Russia, that interfered in the 2016 election,” three House Democrat chairs said in a statement.

“These investigations were designed to benefit his 2020 presidential reelection campaign."

Committee Democrats also hammered the White House for its blanket refusal to cooperate in the impeachment inquiry. In an unsubtle historical comparison, they noted that obstruction of Congress was one of the articles of impeachment lodged against President Nixon, who was forced to resign in 1974, and suggested Trump will face a similar charge.

“It would be hard to imagine a stronger or more complete case of obstruction than that demonstrated by the President since the inquiry began,” they wrote.

My favorite parts were where they laid out the timeline and named all of the co-conspirators.

As flagged by Courthouse News reporter Adam Klasfeld, phone records in House Democrats’ impeachment report show that Solomon, a current Fox News contributor, spoke with indicted Giuliani henchman Lev Parnas ten different times between the dates of April 1st and April 7th. During that time, phone records indicate that Parnas also spoke with Giuliani 16 different times.

Then, on April 7th, Solomon published a column that accused Yovanovitch of thwarting investigations into alleged “corruption” in Ukraine as a way to protect Democrats.

Then, one day after Solomon’s report was published, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) had phone calls with Giuliani, Parnas and Solomon.

Miss Lindsey Graham floated censure as a solution today and Vanity Fair floated resignation.

Wait a minute !   Ukraine got the money (after the whistleblower lifted the shroud).   And President Z didn't do what  president Bone-spur asked (after the whistleblower lifted the shroud).

So in summary, President Trump offered a bribe to the traffic cop....but the cop did not accept it.   So its not bribery.

Nevermind that never held up in any court anywhere at anytime in this great nation of ours....but I just gave you the Republican excuse for committing high crimes and misdemeanors.

Stay tuned !

Did these same Democrats also tell us that Trump colluded with Russia?  Well, yes they did.  Yet Mark trusts proven liars.  I find this placement of trust odd.

Trump obstructed justice ten times to keep us from finding out what he did with Russia. Those are the facts as determined by a Republican prosecutor. Trump illegally paid off two pornstars. Those are the facts according to a Federal Judge said in open court on the record. The only proven liar is Donald Trump.

If he were innocent, he wouldn't obstruct justice preventing government records from being turned over and keeping public servants from complying with lawful subpoenas.  And one doesn't even have to trust Democrats as there are phone records, text messages, Mulvaney's public confession, a call transcript, eyewitness accounts from career non-political diplomats and a career military officer, admissions Trump made on live TV, admissions his attorney made on live TV and finally Trump's own star witness, Sonderland, implicated him.  Not to mention the guy that led Trump's defense has now been implicated in the scheme.  You don't have to believe the Democrats, but you really should believe your own eyes and ears.

By "Democrats" you mean the inner circle of Trump appointees, cabinet members, lawyer, and State Department staff?      Yeah those.

But on the other hand there's the birth certificate guy who didn't know anything about Stormy Daniels payments....and he's too big of a coward to come out from under his desk and testify (which is also impeachable in of itself).

But its a free country, Boiler!   Its not the least bit illegal for you to support a criminal if you want to.   Aint America great?

And you somehow have proof--that no one else has--that Trump did not collude with Russia?

And before you cite the Mueller report, I need to remind you--yet again--that the report siad that the investigation "did not exonerate" Trump. In other words, neither guilty nor not guilty--not proved one way or the other.

So in the absence of absolute proof, we have to make inferences. You state that Trump is innocent because you want him to be--that's your argument. I state that he's guilty because he went to extraordinary lengths to obstruct Mueller's investigation--including committing eight felonies. Those are not the actions of an innocent man.

I'll ask you directly: if Trump didn't collude with Russia, why did he commit multiple acts of obstruction of justice to impede the investigation? if he was innocent, shouldn't he have welcomed the investigation and done nothing to obstruct it?

Why aren’t the 10 instances of the Mueller report part of the impeachment?

Why hasn’t Zielinski the alleged victim in this case said what schiff alleges is true?

Sure Mark, Trump obstructed so they wouldn't confirm that he didn't collude with Russia.  That makes sense, at least to some.

You're exactly misstating the situation, and you're well aware of that. Trump's obstruction of justice proves his guilt. Innocent people don't commit multiple felonies to try to cover up an investigation.

You blind loyalty to Trump is making you say some pretty asinine things. Anyone with a brain can see that Trump is a criminal and a traitor. You do yourself no credit by continuing to deny it. And for what? Do you think he's going to send you a lollipop?
