The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 requires states to verify voter identity and information and The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 explicitly prohibits noncitizens from voting in federal elections.

The Heritage Foundation, which has created Project 2025, has found 24 instances of noncitizens voting in a 20-year time period. 

In the 2016 election, 23,500,000 votes were analyzed, and there were 30 instances of noncitizens voting which comes out to .000128%, in the real world, that's really good. I conclude the GOP is virtue signaling, maybe they should try and solve real problems and take up the Senate immigration bill.

I checked out that Heritage Foundation site and noticed that most of the illegal voting was by people who were felons or sex offenders, not illegals.

This stupid non-issue is the same nonsense the election deniers pitch. It can be refuted very easily: why would anyone commit multiple felonies by casting a fraudulent vote? The answer: no one with any sense would. There's very, very little to gain and a lot to lose.

Of course, then we can move to the question of, if an unregistered individual managed to cast a ballot, would that ballot be counted, or would it be invalidated? Answer: invalidated.

I can't believe that the RepubliQ still flogs this non-issue. Of course, as I've already said, their true goal is to make it that much harder to vote, not to protect the holy sanctity of the voting process.

Not everyone has good sense, there seems to be a certain subset of folks lacking good sense.

Stupid Tom, in the past--many times--I've asked you how an "illegal" voter could have his vote actually validated and counted. Then, when you've weaseled away from that question, I've asked you another: why would anyone cast a fraudulent vote, committing at least five felonies in the process, with little or nothing to be gained from it? You've weaseled away from that one, too.
