Some people rioted, most people didn't. That is what the media called a mostly peaceful demonstrations in 2020. More people were killed, injured & the property damage was significantly higher during those peaceful demonstrations

The BLM protests caused more property damage than the insurrection because they occured over the couse of several months, not one day; 26 million people participated, not a thousand; and they occurred in over a hundred cities, not one.
