Yo, stupid Tom, all those issues have already been answered.
First of all, if a state secedes, it may contain counties that didn't want to. That's happened before. I'll leave it up to stupid Tom to do his research on that.
The areas of WA, OR, and CA that Tom mentions are rural, mostly empty, and contain about 1/20th of the states' population and generate 3% of their GDP. So they could elect to remain in the US (or "Trumpland") and they would quietly starve. no biggie.
The more populated, Democratic areas of the three west coast states would form a country that would have the sixth largest GDP in the world. And...lotsa people (to form an army if need be), lotsa tech and manufacturing (to equip said army), free trade with Canada and Mexico (to keep us wealthy), and lotsa gold mines--not that we would need gold reserves; our currency would still be the dollar.
California all by itself produces more than enough food to supply the three states' needs. Or maybe stupid Tom doesn't realize how much food the state exports?
The three states have abundant hydropower and renewable electricity generation, as well as fossil fuel deposits. But in the event of any shortages...we can always buy fuels and power frrom Canada, who will be happy to trade with us instead of being in a trade war with Trumpland.
