Oh, Kevin, you haven't 'gotten' me yet. I enjoy humor, and occasionally I can't resist something like that jumps out at me. I don't doubt that you watch, read, whatever multiple perspectives. If ya can't laugh at yourself, well...

I don't think Candy is a conservitard. Honestly, she is one of the most open-minded people here. That is not to say I agree with her views on everything but she seems willing to entertain differing viewpoints.
Thank you, Mark, though I can't recall putting "views" out there for debate, very often at least. Again, I lean toward the 'lighter side' of life. Age, perhaps. Seen a lot, perhaps. I respect that others have different takes on things.
I've spoken of my BFF (female) who travels with me and husband a lot. While I admire her tremendously (she dropped everything to take care of both elderly parents for about 15 years, until their death, for one example), sometimes I have to bite my tongue. We both love casino trips. She has a strict moral code, which sometimes drives me nuts! She has done so many nice things for me I hate taking money from her, but she won't relent on some little things, like being sure she pays her half of a meal tip while I'd pay the whole thing without blinking. If our airplane seats are A (me) and C (her), she won't take the window seat (A) even if I offer to switch because I know she likes the window seat; she sees it as how the world works and her brand of fairness dictates that she accept the seat originally assigned. We don't talk politics much but she admires Hillary, while I don't. I could go on and on, and sometimes I'm bitching to my husband about some inconsequential thing she said or did, then I feel bad because she is a good friend, would do anything for me. We have fun, laugh a lot, avoid creating hard feelings. I've got her figured out, she has us figured out, and we both do what we reasonably can to maintain the good flow. That's how life works for me.

Very well. But for me, watching Fox News is something I pretty much have to do, because I can't honestly criticize, let alone oppose, the other side unless and until I understand them. It's like eating your broccoli when you were a kid. Unpleasant but necessary, and to extend the analogy, quite often, it makes me gag.
I suppose I would be more lighthearted about this "stolen election" nonsense if it wasn't for the fact that the RepubliQ are almost certainly going to successfully use it to seize absolute power and destroy our democracy. I wish that was hyperbole. I wish the threat was exaggerated. But everything that I see and hear suggests otherwise.
So I apologize if I misrepresented your attitudes and beliefs. As Mark pointed out, I shouldn't conflate your postings with those of the bigoted, thickheaded conservitard scum who infest this board. That's unfair, as unlike them, you have a functioning brain and a soul.
Ooh, gotta go. Tucker Carlson is hosting his "How to Shoot Migrants" segment.
