How would you run your new casino?

Probably shouldn't answer this when I am high but WTF.

Lots of poker bars stocked with the finest hookers, the bathrooms near the bars would have those fancy sitting areas with complementary bowls of coke.  The sitting areas would feature chaise lounges so you would have a place to snort your blow off your hookers ass.

I imagine the overal decor and the theme of casino would be that of a high end 19th century opium den.

But that sounds more like a brothel/drug den with slot machines. A hotel/casino would still be centered around accomodations and gambling.

Not that there isn't a market niche for your idea!

Dedicated transportation to/from the airport, and around town too.

No smoking casino. (yeah, right)

No children casino or hotel. (yeah, right)

Affordable cafe/breakfast/sandwich type places 24/7.

Lower volume background music in eateries and casinos.

Realizing that Smoking and Children are already long established practices, make it a true luxury-atmosphere experience for the mid-roller who doesn't have to bring the whole family.  Like a kid-free cruise ship.

Just pipe dreams, of course, but closer to what Vegas used to be (except the non-smoking).

Seems like youd like to see some of the "good old days."

Many casinos used to provide a free airport shuttle. No mas. Nonsmoking casinos have been tried and consistently failed ,(Monte Carlo?). No children--probably can't be made to fly. Meal affordability--used to be the norm! Background music that doesn't make you bleed from the ears--also the norm.

I refuse to believe that the "old Vegas" vibe is completely dead and now, the only customers that matter are drunken overgrown teenagers who have no sense of value. But the way casinos are operating now, it sure seems like that's what they think. What folks like you and I want matters not.

You are probably right, since in 20-30 years "folks like you and I" will be dead and gone, so no need to reinvent all that.  Mark's 'opium den' just might be the new theme.

Then again, sometimes whatever is old becomes new again.  As long as opium is in plentiful supply.  is weed the new opium?

Good paytables on VP, low house edge on slots while avoiding the vulture machines. Offer a variety of good food options, including healthier choices, to appeal to a broader audience and focus on comping the food to keep people on the property for as long as possible.

Run slot tournaments and BJ tournaments for loyalty club members only, structure it for your club level to keep people like Anthony Curtis from dominating the tournament.

Encourage positive customer interaction at the table games from both the dealers and floormen. On the lower limits for Blackjack only offer $10 and $20 minimum table limits to avoid $0.50 pays.

Offer one all gender bathroom to piss of MAGA, but make sure they want to stay for the hospitality.

Max - I am in favor of all locations having an "All Gender" restroom(s) in addition to the standard Men's and Ladie"s restrooms. I believe that having such would be appreciated by all.

You don't want MAGA zealots firebombing your new casino. That's why I would install custom toilet paper with Trump's face on it, just to keep them placated.

Actually restrooms would not be able to keep toilet paper in stock if they depicted your face .

I can report that here in Oregon, where decriminalization and outright legalization happened sooner than in most of the country, you see pot shops pretty much everywhere, so they must be doing OK. No one makes a big deal of it. You don't want it, don't go in there. There's no more kerfuffle than there is about a liquor store.

I personally would much rather deal with someone who has a buzz on than someone who's drunk.
