I believe that I will forward your question to Matt Gaetz. Unproven slander is a crime.
Pricilla was 14 when Elvis took her virginity in Tennessee. Ain't that a kick in the pants.

Which begs the question: Does that include statutory?
How many years until the details of this 'law' (?) are actually worked out?
How many appeals/years until one is actually carried out? Building more prison cells, are they?
Busy times ahead for attorneys, psychiatrists, psychologists, the ACLU.
Hell, right now 'they' can't even hold one who abducts, tortures, rapes, murders, and dumps the child in a ditch accountable.
But I hope some good comes of it.

Dear Stupid Person: First, it would be libel, not slander. Second, it would be civil, not a crime (criminal). And the most prominent person accusing Gaetz of having sex with an underage girl is Kevin McCarthy, the former Republican Speaker of the House.
So dim bulb, assuming Mr. McCarthy's accusation is correct, do you favor putting Mr. Gaetz to death?

li·bel /ˈlīb(ə)l/ noun 1. LAW a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation. -- slan·der /ˈslandər/ nounLAW the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation. -- Apparently your post is BOTH.

Wow, David, you're a moron--and you're at your worst when you're in asshole mode. MP:s post was written, not spoken, so it can't be slander. And it isn't damaging to Gartz's reputation to suggest that he's a pedophile, so it isnt libel.
Grow up and shut up.

Tennessee is the book-burning state, so one could expect something similarly medieval--and they didn't disappoint
The death penalty is extremely grave and serious. It represents the ultimate power of the state and should be applied with great restraint and caution. In my opinion, the state cannot take a life unless a life was taken. Other crimes, however heinous, should not be punished by death
David, asking again: If Kevin McCarthy's claim that Matt Gaetz chose to have sex with an underage girl is proven, do you support the death penalty in this case?
