I-5 pit stop

On the long stretch of I-5 between San Diego and the Canadian border, there are several casinos right off the freeway. Sad to say, none of them are worth visiting...but there is one that merits a lunch stop. Rain Rock Casino in Yreka, about 20 miles south of the Oregon border, offers a $5 cheeseburger and fries before 4 pm. You can get $10 free play for signing up and giving them your email. As a way to break up a long drive, it's worth it.

(The next casino as you go north, Seven Feathers in Canyonville, 100 miles north of the Oregon/CA border, is absolutely not worth a stop for any reason.) Edited: unless you're looking for a place to spend the night in your RV.

 Amazing, during the almost 1400 mile stretch there is only ONE casino out of 14 that is worthy of a stop - for a $5 cheeseburger and fries. 

I don't consider any casino with bad gambling and overpriced rooms and food to be worth a stop. And given the abundance of great places to stay and eat in California, Oregon, and Washington, visiting a casino for those things isn't a smart play. Rain Rock Casino is in the middle of a 2.5-hour empty stretch with not a lot of civilization, and as long as they have meal specials (the burger isn't the only special), it's worth a pit stop.

I should mention that if you're RVing, Seven Feathers in Canyonville, 100 miles north of the OR/CA border, has a pretty nice RV park.
