I did answer this, but apparently you didn't see it. A position on a Board of Directors requires no experience or qualifications. It isn't a crime and Corporations want it that way. I then gave an example of a local bank in my community that put a guy on their board that can't read beyond a third-grade level because he is wealthy and popular in the community. In current times, Board seats are largely prestige positions as members are expected to vote with management. Don't forget Geroge Bush was on one of these too.
