I Can See It Now

Repeating The Big Lie is the time-honored standard M.O. of demagogues like Trump. It works and is eventually  believed by the gullible. Using it for self-delusion is a new wrinkle, though.

Trump has been on a losing streak (2018, 2020, 2022). The attempt to link Hunter Biden's influence peddling to his father has failed. See last week's House hearing. Giuliani has been disbarred wherever he's gone to repeat The Big Lie in court. Trump has met his match with Jack Smith. Finally, someone who knows how to deal with him and isn't intimidated by his Big Lying!  Fox News admitted its hosts repeated The Big Lie to the  tune of a billion dollars. Most Americans think Trump committed the crimes to which he's been accused.

Still, no one knows what is going to happen in '24. The country was almost lost in 2020. (ed. I wrote 2016 in error before the edit) It could collape in '24. Anyone who thinks they can predict the future of the country is delusional
