"I don't kid."

When asked whether he was kidding about having told his people to slow down the tests, he answered, "I don't kid."

Does anyone want to defend slowing down the testing?

''I will not lie to you'' - kayleigh mcenany

Funny how our resident Trumptards aren't rushing to the Orange Asshole's defense on this one.

He might not even realize how incredibly damaging that statement was. He wants to slow down testing--which will result in even more coronavirus deaths--just to make himself look less bad? How stupid and evil can a person get?

So c'mon, Tom, c'mon, David, c'mon Boiler, defend your hero! Tell us why he didn't really say that and it's all FAKE NOOZE!

How many people has not testing killed? How many will it kill? In the latest humiliation the EU says it isn't going to let Americans in when the open their borders because we still don't have a COVID 19 plan.

Reality - Dr. Fauci DEBUNKS Media Narrative that Trump Tried to Reduce #Coronavirus Testing

"None of us have ever been told to slow down on testing. That just is a fact. In fact, we will be doing more testing...not less."https://www.facebook.com/aklavan/videos/267922221319141

In other words, it is your position Trump lied when he said he told his people to slow down testing.

Explained this way ; though I agree he should not have said what he said the way he said it, most people did not and do not understand that he was making a point about that there is no mention of the progress that has been made, only the fact that testing more people will show more positive cases. Or, possibly it makes more sense the wayMcEnay stated thus - "He was making a serious point, and that's why he said 'I don't kid.' He was making a serious point, but he was using sarcasm to do that at the rally," McEnany said. "But the serious point he was making is that when you test more people you identify more cases. Cases should not be indicative of the progress we've made."

That's really, really convoluted and the far simpler explanation is that Trump doesn't want testing because that would increase the number of identified cases (NOTE: it would do nothing to affect the number of actual cases). He said as much; then he said he wasn't kidding. I think he meant exactly what he said.

Granted more testing will show an increase in the number, but it does not reflect upon the progress of dealing with the virus that has been accomplished. There is no way that with more testing that the numbers would go down. But testing is not solely about the numbers - it's main function is to determine if people are infected or not infected. With more and more people ignoring the possibility of becoming infected the virus will not be contained or diminished until a viable vaccine is developed.
