I Guess that Someone From Texas or Florida Needs to Go to California and Show Them How to Count Ballots

If a post is obviously purposefully absurd or hyperbolic I see no reason to correct it or offer an opinion.

If it appears a post is meant to be taken seriously, or might be believed by others and I think it contains errors or logical fallacies that is different.

Really? So you seem to have no issue/problem with Lewis's public display of filth laden sander but feel compelled to chastise me for not giving credit for a public posting that I copy and post. Seems like selective condemnations depending who the person is making a post .How diplomatic of you.

I didn't say I have no problem with the way he posts sometimes. I have criticized it a few times. I have stated that I think it's unnecessary and unproductive. I have said my peace on the matter.

I don't mention it every time because doing so adds no value to the post or to the forum. Nor will it change anyone else's opinion on anything.

It is often something so purposefully absurd and hyperbolic that nobody believes it anyway. Because it isn't meant to be literal.

When I point out the lack of attribution or  or citation in a post it is because I believe that the poster is attempting to be taken seriously and making proper attribution or citation adds value to the post and to the forum.

It provides information to the reader and serves to better form their opinion.
