Apparently, Stalker is wrong, as usual. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is November 28 this year. Black Friday is November 29.
A number of retailers are holding "pre-Black Friday" sales, because Thanksgiving is so late this year. Most years, the holiday shopping season would already have begun by now.
