Trump is free to launch a sham investigation against Joe Biden. He's not doing that because he knows that neither Hunter nor Joe Biden did anything wrong. Starting a bogus investigation would just be compounding the blunder he made with the Ukraine extortion.

If Biden committed crimes, investigate Biden.   Be my guest.     But  the  Impeachment trial is about Donald Trump and his alleged actions.   You have a hard time with that.

Harvey Weinstein's lawyers did not call Bill Cosby as a witness because Cosby may have also committed a crime.    But thats what you want to do with the impeachment hearing.  Because its hard for you deal with a dozen corroborrating witnesses who all say Trump abused his power like a Bannana Republic dictator to go after a political opponent....using indicted thugs no less.

I really don't think you can help Boilerman. He's so fixated on being a good Trump lackey that he's blinded himself to the facts. Such as, a dozen witnesses (so far) have testified about Trump's treason--and he claims that they're all lying, even though most are/were Trump administration officials!!!

Our Trumpers continue to make themselves look like idiots, defending our criminal-in-chief. What on earth is in it for them? I've said repeatedly, they're not going to get their lollipops.

It's about optics, it would benefit the Dems to let the GOP call their witnesses.  One of The Republicans talking points is how unfair the hearings are.  The Senate Republicans are not going to vote for impeachment unless public sentiment moves for impeachment.  I think the evidence is strongly in favor of the Dems, but that doesn't mean crap if they cannot gain public support.

The "investigation into Biden" is a sham anyway.   As Trump's handpicked ambassador, Gordon Sondland, testified under oath:

"He (President Zelensky)  had to announce the investigations. He didn't actually have to do them, as I understood it."

Trump just wanted a political talking point for his campaign.   He didn't care if it was true or not.   Just like the birth certificate chase.

I believe recent polls show 70% of Americans think Trump abused his power.       

As said, I'm for any witness testifying whose testimony is subject to the trial....like in any court case.    I'm not for allowing Republicans to swap out the defendant of the trial with a different one they would rather depose which is what they desperately want to do - with much support from their base and on this board.   

 I do not think this is the time nor place for Wacky Joe to be investigated (his time is coming). As far as Hunter Biden goes, I have no idea of evidence of wrong doing. He took a job which he was not qualified for that paid him a really nice salary. But, would any other American get ‘‘this opportunity” if he was not very connected.

Even if Hunter Biden wasn't qualified (and that's merely a Republican wacko theory talking point), he wouldn't exactly be the first person to land a lucrative job based on his family connections rather than his ability. See: Baby Trump. See: Jared Kushner. And see: about ten million other people.

True, there's no evidence of wrongdoing by Hunter Biden. But suppose he turned out to be a multiple ax murderer and serial rapist and had tons of unpaid parking tickets? What would that have to do with his father? And more importantly, what would that have to do with Trump's Ukraine extortion?

Trump and his Republican lackeys have been trying to sell the story that Trump was inspired to prod the Ukrainians for an investigation of Hunter Biden out of his patriotic sense of duty. That had nothing to do with the fact that he's the son of a possible opponent in the 2020 election! That's just a coincidence! And they expect us to believe that!

I don't know what you mean about "Democrats day of hearings," but it's a safe bet that no Democrat will ever be guilty of even a fraction of Trump's crimes and treasonous acts. The Democrats are patriotic and have principles. The Republicans have no morals or honor.

Gorge Bush got that opportunity. He bankrupted the company he started which was his only adult work experience at the time. Then he was brought on as board member of a large corporation for which he received a huge salary.

Would any other AMerican get this opporunity?   Well, yes!   Have you heard the name Jared Kushner?

Maybe he should be called as a witness ...or better yet, lets just swap out the defendant in the impeachment trial with him.   He meets Boilerman and Tom's ctriteria.

And are we honestly going to make the "pay for play" argument in the backdrop of all the Mar-A-Lago members that amazingly got Amabassadorships?  Or million dollar donors who did the same?    

Ambassador Sondland's qualification to be Ambassador was a million dollar contribution to Trump super pacs.
