Not being scared is a horrible way to react to a deadly pandemic. It also kills others.

None of the stuff Mister writes of scares me. It won't effect me in any measureable way. Stupid and bad stuff is still stupid and bad. I'm against stupid and bad stuff.
Are you really under the delusion that anyone whatsoever gives a flying fuck about you, your life, what you're for or against, or whether you're scared or not?
Everybody knows I'm a glass half full person, opposite to Kevin. It is said a positive outlook has health benefits.
Anyway, look at what has been accomplished (not what was missed) on a national level in roughly 6-10 weeks! Vaccines and treatments are coming about in warp speed compared to the usual years, already in clinical trials. Lives saved by distancing and other measures implemented in every state (and that is harder to quantify than cases and deaths). Infectious Disease, Immunology, Virology, Public Health and other experts working day and night to get it done. The US is awakened to the reality of the type of pandemic we are in and how to be ready for the next one. Billions approved and spent to get a grip on this one.
No need to lecture me on the economic and human disasters and failures, every "who didn't do". A lot was done/is being done, and that should be on our minds as well.
My state has done well, case and death numbers relatively low, though we get no notice in the big news programs and conferences (which is fine--MLP is best). We open some things with restrictions mddle of next week. Governor looks like he could fall over any minute from fatigue, which I'm sure is the status of most governors and anyone at the front line of pandemic policy.

Thank you Candy. I really think this is the way most Americans think once you get away from the toxic confines of the LVA Kitchen Sink. Sure, mistakes get made at all levels of government, but give them credit for working night and day to help us all through it. They're diong their best and I for one appreciate their non stop efforts. That includes Democrats, Republicans, career government employees and of course our Health Care and Emergency workers. For every misstep, there's a hundred things being done to help. You usually only only hear from the complainers though....not the people who are grateful for the tremendous efforts being waged on our behalf.

Nice comments from Candy and Charles.
As usual when Kevin is faced with facts he ignores the facts & responds with an obscene rant.
He can check the Business Insider of April 2nd on the NYC directive on heart attacks.
By placing infected people in an enclosed environment of vulnerable people. This in turn creates an environment where the virus spreads. Most of the deaths by the spread from the infected.

As usual, attacking me is supposedly validating some idiotic Trumper point.
Of COURSE there are many positive developments. Individuals and local organizations are acting heroically. I deeply appreciate their efforts.
I do NOT appreciate the efforts of Republicans to turn this crisis into a windfall for their wealthy corporate donors. Nor do I appreciate Trump's stupid, flailing efforts, OR the idiotically loyal Trumper cadre that continues to shower him with LUVVVV.
So I greatly appreciate efforts made at the local level, support decisions made at the state level IF they align with science, and greatly criticize the inept federal response.

Very well stated, Charles. Thanks.

Hey, Charles, you lying fuck, most of the dogshit you post isn't worth checking, but I decided to do so this one time.
The directive was regarding CARDIAC ARREST VICTIMS WHO DID NOT HAVE A PULSE AND COULD NOT BE RESUSCITATED. Not heart attack victims.
Specifically, the order was not to waste resources transporting already clinically dead patients to already overcrowded ERs and ICUs when all that would happen was that they would take up a bed until someone got around to pronouncing them DOA.
You lied, Tom. Simple as that.
It's also pretty shitty to criticize the efforts of NYC first responders in order to make some twisted Trumper political point.
The directive was to not resuscitate people without a pulse. Pretty heartless. Imagine if President Trump decided that, Kevin would have a fit.
Maybe if the state wasn't infecting nursing homes & didn't wait 6 weeks to decide to clean the subways, things wouldn't be so bad.
