I never got an answer to my question

Sure it was really Obama that was the racist.

I did not dodge. I answered your hypothetical. Here it is again since you missed it.

Context is what you fail to grasp. If you know your friends and know they won't see it as a racial slur then I don't think you making such a statement would make you a racist no matter which one (or all) you said it to assuming the statement was made in private between the four of you.

What you are upset about is that your hypothetical is nothing like the situation Trump was in when he said those slurs. He is President and the women he slurred are Congresswomen.  He wasn't at a private gathering among friends.   He is an unrepentant practitioner of racism. If you support the President, you accept his racism, making you a practitioner of racism just like him.    I am sure it is a tough pill to swallow, but no amount of spinning his slurs to claim they mean something else changes that.

Okay Mark, let me make it even more simple for you.

I meet 3 strangers in a bar.  A black guy from Tanzania, a white guy from Canada, and a white guy from Australia.  We talk politics, and they are all radical Left wingers.  I tell them to go back to where they came from.  I'm not talking Trump.

Am I racist?

Context is important, though it almost never trumps (no pun intended) sensitivity these days.  Context for our current leader seems to be like that of a 19 year old seeking ubiquitous popularity on social media.  Why any POTUS would indulge in public mocking of his employees is beyond me.

Still, was he being racist?  Now there must be a lengthy investigation by a separate panel using their dictionaries and online resources and meetings and attorneys and a VERY high standard of policy violation to meet to even be taken seriously (and then no offical action would be taken, so waste of time to debate it).

I did conclude Boilerman was not being "racist".  But I did not get that his story was like an Aesop fable, i.e. that he was the subject of an accusation, not the POTUS?  Guess I need to read more smut rags and watch CNN more to keep up.

When you discuss Trump and "his employees", I'm confused.  Assuming that you're speaking of the Democrats from The House known as "The Squad", they don't work for Donald, he can't fire them, and they are ceratinly not one of his employees............regardless of Marks twisting of the truth.

Is it racist if you tell the truth as president Trump is saying about Baltimore?

Boilerman is correct.  My saying "his employees" is a mistake in regard to any Senator or Member of the House of Representative.  Members of the Senate and House, regardless of party, serve under the Legislative Branch of the US Government.  The POTUS heads the Executive Branch.   Supreme Court Judges (and I guess other judges) serve under the Judicial Branch.   Indeed it would be wrong for the POTUS to have supervisory powers over the Senators and Representatives.  It would defeat the whole idea of democracy.  I apologize and thank you for the correction.

I do think his public mockings are irresponsible at best, and dangerous at worst.  My opinion.   Doesn't mean I have decided which way to vote in the next election.

I don't  know.  What is this "truth" he is telling?  Are all citizens of Baltimore of the same race?

The Democrats called President Trump a racist for calling out Baltimore.

It has high crime, poor schools, rodent infested, sub-standard housing to name a few things.

So so is he a racist for pointing out facts?

Some will say yes, especially close to election time.  The party not in office will always seek opportunities to cast aspersions on the one in office who is seeking re-election.

Candy, the question is clear.  If Trump speaks the truth, is it racist?
