Guilty as charged!
I fully support all kinds of rule changes :
- re-enacting the voting rights act that Republicans took away right before passing anti-democracy legislation that disenfranchised millions of voters
- anti-gerrymandering laws so voters can pick their representatives instead of the other way around
- expanded early voting
- laws that require enough voting machines to handle the voting volume so as to prevent 4 hour lines
- crackdown on laws that are aimed at disenfranchising voters like the one we saw in North Dakota that targeted Native AMericans....and the one on Georgia that put 50K voter registrations unprocessed by the bigot running that election
- changing election day to a weekend so people aren't pressured between choosing to work or vote.
I cant imagine anyone who truly embraces democracy and maximum participation from the public would object to any of these.
Millions of voters disenfranchised?
You do realize democrats gerrymander also. The Republicans just don’t have the stones to challenge them
voting machine availability is a function of the local county.
The voter id’s didn’t match the registration - TS
Most states are open at least 12 hours. If you can’t vote in that time frame to bad
Many people work weekends now.
Every effort should be made to make sure that the person who shows up to vote is the person registered.
Voting on weekends would actually favor those who actually do work. The day of the week does not matter to the Democratic base , only the start time of the voting. After all, when one does not get out of bed before the crack of noon, early voting start times would be considered unfair and racist.
