We've seen that stupid argument from stupid Tom and stupid Boilerboob...that somehow, these people simply live a parasitic existence and contribute nothing to the economy. That's such a grandiosely idiotic concept, it's hard to imagine anybody believing it. But stupid Tom has said that most immigrants don't have jobs. Boilerboob has said that all immigrants receive massive social benefits. That ties in to the MAGA fantasy that immigration is a net drain on our society.
The opposite is true, of course. We benefit tremendously from immigration. Anyone with a brain knows that. In particular, immigration counters the effects of an aging workforce.
Look at Japan as an example. For generations, Japan has shunned immigrants. Now, the ratio of workers to retired is 2:1 and dropping. Their economy is slowing and taxes to support the retired are becoming prohibitive. That's where we're due to wind up in ten years--sooner, if we drive out our immigrant workforce.
