Record-high food prices have Americans rethinking how they buy groceries entirely — but is sticking to a list really the best way to save?
What the heck happened?

Sadly, the only relevant question is: how many MAGAs have finally learned their lesson and realized that the Republican party, despite their recent populist shtick, is and always has been the party of the rich? They're showing right now that their so-called caring for the average American is a total sham.

You are full of shit.
Eggs today were 1.99 for an 18 pack and 2.49 for 12. Not sure why the 18 pack were cheaper, but at least the sky isn't falling. Believe it or not , there is positive news out there.

Overall grocery prices are way up since Trump took office. He promised prices would come down on day one and instead he has done everything he can to make prices go up.

Bullshit.

Luckily for me, I don't just eat eggs; my grocery cart has a large variety of food items. Unfortunately, the overall cost of that basket of groceries is now higher than at any time during the administrations of Biden, Obama, Clinton, or Carter.
Day 1 has passed, and it is now day 286 since Trump took office, falling further and further behind on that promise. Looks like a complete failure for MAGA to me.
We will always have inflation, which now is running between 2 and 3 percent. This will include prices for food.
Too many times in government when you slow the rate of funding for a program from 7 percent growth to 5 percent growth , they call that a loss of funding. That is probably what is happening here. It is not right, but government takes whatever number they want and twist it to get the outcome they want for that issue. Has there really ever been a year where the same grocerey cart of food has ever been cheaper than the year before

Trump said he would lower prices on Day 1. Did you believe him? Many of our MAGA forum members repeated that claim as a reason to vote for him.
Inflation is at its highest point since Trump was inaugurated, another proof of his failure.
MAGA failure, pretty straightforward, it's a failure.
I know you like to look at the positive side of things. The positive on inflation was that the Biden administration was able to consistently lower the rate of inflation from the time the Inflation Reduction Act was enacted to the end of his term. Now that's something that is very positive.

That's a very disingenuous way to look at it. Nobody is reporting food price increases that are merely in pace with overall inflation. It sounds like you're covering for MAGA: "Well, prices are always going up." People who shop for groceries every week can tell that the recent increases are far more than that.
