The insanity continues. Makeup or believe anything to avoid the fact that your guy committed these crimes and is now a convicted felon.
Trump had no chance at this trial because he refused to follow legal advice. He wanted to continue to deny he had sex with Stormy. Making that type of unbelievable argument in front of the jury discredits your whole defense.
He didn't even have his attorney request the jury consider the misdemeanor version of the offense rather than the felony version. This is how you win these cases as attorney. You concede your client is a rude, obnoxious asshole but that his conduct was at the worst a misdemeanor rather than the felony.
This approch works because it builds credibility with the jury because your not trying to hide, via ridiculous excuses, that the defendant is an awful person that did something morally wrong.
