The judge in the case asked for and recived from a judical ethics commission a ruling to determine if he had a conflict that required recusal. That board which is made up of retired and long serving judges ruled he did not. If only Alito and Thomas paid attention to judical ethics like this judge did.
The NYS ethics board is a collection of democrat hacks.
4 are picked by the governor; in this case cuomo & hochul (who does whatever the party bosses say). 3 are picked by the chief judge who once freed a convicted rapist. Even Newsday said he is the most liberal judge in the state. One each by the state senate & assemby leaders (they of the no bail laws) & the Republcans get 2.
