More Tom-logic. If her vehicle was "aimed":anywhere, it was AWAY from the thug, as her wheels were turned to the right.

"Lesbo"?

It's a portmanteau meaning "a placebo used by lesbians."

Why Iggo used that term to describe the victim and her spouse, I have no idea.

You mean like Tom and Iggo saying, "I wish I had one"?

I grew up near San Francisco, which at the time was one of the very few places in the US where people with nontraditional sexual orientations could be sure that they wouldn't be treated as criminals or deviants. That's why Iggo's ugly and stupid comment about the victim and her spouse rubbed me the wrong way. As if her being a "lesbo" diminished her civil rights or justified her execution!

Or the agent put himself in danger by moving in front of the SUV.

I thought it was odd that the ICE agent put himself in danger by standing in front of the vehicle; it seems some experts agree with me. The poor decision by the ICE agent, both by standing in front of the SUV and by firing his gun, cost this 37-year-old woman her life. He is supposed to be the trained expert, and he failed.

Video of Minnesota shooting by officer raises questions | AP News

"Policing experts say some of the choices the officer made in that moment defy practices nearly every law enforcement agency have followed for decades."

"“I can’t explain why he would stand there and place himself in front of the car,” Stephens said. “That’s a dangerous decision to make.” As a police chief, he prohibited officers from standing in front of cars in the early 1990s."

"“Why would he do that? Why would he put himself in a more dangerous position than he was already in?” asked Geoffrey P. Alpert, an expert on policing at the University of South Carolina, who called it “absurd” for an officer to use his body to try to block a 4,000-pound SUV."

"“Why doesn’t he step out of the way? Why doesn’t he move?” asked Alpert."

"Most police departments long ago prohibited officers from shooting at moving vehicles except for very limited circumstances where there’s no other option to save lives, experts say.

“And the reason is a good one,” said Sharon Fairley, a law professor and criminal justice expert at the University of Chicago. “If the officer is successful at shooting the driver, then you have a motor vehicle, a two-ton vehicle that’s not being directed, and it creates a huge public safety risk.”"

Classic Trump Administration disregard for the citizens of this country.

I'm not so sure (at all) that "she chose the action."

Ever have anything happen while driving?  A medical attack?  Hypoglycemia, stroke, heart attack?  Or been shot?  Your car hit by another car?  Incapacitated, in shock, or dead, foot can hit the accelerator and car lurches forward in random (unintended) direction.  Many having been in serious accidents and recover have no memory of it.

The video doesn't distinquish that.  Only God and the driver knows...and we might not ever know, regardless of who says what.

And poor or misdirected training of law enforcement, as in the George Floyd case.  Combined with the widespread hysteria taking place nationally, the blaming, the [uninformed] opinions prevailing before facts are know.

There are two reasons why what you call uninformed opinions have been offered:

1. People realize that almost no matter what the precise circumstances were, the ICE thug acted irresponsibly and unnecessarily violently.

2. MAGA media, such as Fox Nooze, felt compelled to immediately and stridently belch out apologia in their role as Loyal Servants of Dear Leader Trump.

I'd like you to scrutinize one word you used: "hysteria." That word was used many times by the "establishment" to describe (and defame) Vietnam War protestors. It was also used to MAGA to describe the George Floyd protests (which were overwhelmingly peaceful and anything BUT "hysterical").

So do you really think that the protests against this horrible incident are "hysteria"? I for one call it "outrage," and yes, Fox Nooze has joined with you in calling it "hysteria." You're a former medical professional. The term implies runaway emotions and a loss of control and rationality. Do you really think that's what's going on?

The video does show that she turned her wheels AWAY from her killer.

There are two defensive actions she could have performed, neither of which were advisible: accelerate straight ahead or slightly to the left in an attempt to run the thug down, or accelerate to the right and attempt to escape. Of course, her best course of action would have been to turn the engine off, put her hands on her head,  and shout, "I LOVE PRESIDENT TRUMP!"

My opinion, which is unaffected by whatever political and legal issues come into play, is that she was simply trying to get the hell out of there.
