Why would you say something like that? Because I object to your endorsement of this killing?

.

One would hope this was a rule followed by all government agents. However this particular agency has done a pretty good job of demonstrating they're not very much into that pesky due process of law thingy.

Why are you calling it an execution?

In the attached article, scroll down and you see the photo of the car.  The bullet hole is in the front windshield and could only happen if the vehicle was directly in front of the officer as she accelerated towards him in attempt to kill him.

The vehicle does appear to strike the agent. That is clear. It would absolutely be fair to call that assault and battery.  However, saying or implying he was run over is intellectually dishonest.

He fired into the driver's side window. She was past him and he was no longer in danger when he fired.

Edit: after posting this I saw a claim that there was a bullet hole in the front windshield. I have to investigate that. I may end up retracting my comment.

Edit: after seeing the picture and watching the video again it does appear as though she was heading toward the agent at the time he decided to fire.

I still don't feel like she was trying to run anyone over and I still feel the agents could have driven around her. The road was not fully blocked. That being said it was not a wise decision on her part.

As seen in this video  --  https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/07/us/video/ice-shooting-minneapolis-digvid  -- the officer's first shot was from in front of the vehicle as the vehicle moved towards him.

Because it was. Of COURSE Noem approves of it. Of COURSE you approve of it.

The killer was out of danger after successfully dodging the car, which was moving quite slowly. He killed the woman out of anger. The proper procedure would have been to identify the vehicle and notify local law enforcement. Instead, he used the gun HE HAD ALREADY BEEN POINTING AT HER to go blammo blammo blammo now do I get a medal?

Be a halfway decent human being and quit trying to justify this horrible act.

If yoou watch this video -- https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/07/us/video/ice-shooting-minneapolis-digvid  -- you will see the actual chain of events.

What hasn't been determined, and wasn't by the video, is the sequence of events. Did the victim accelerate her car toward her killer BEFORE or AFTER he pulled out his weapon and aimed it at her? If before, then he was entitled to defend himself; however, the car was moving very slowly and it was easy for him to dodge. He shot her AFTER dodging out of the way. That's, at the very, very least, unprofessional and I expect, not in even the ICE thug manual.

If the victim moved her car toward the killer AFTER he pulled his gun and aimed it at her, she was legitimately defending herself. I've had a gun pulled in me once in my life. It was terrifying. I can understand how this woman might have reacted. She should have immediately surrendered, but she might have thought the killer was about to fire.

What this woman "thought" we will never know - what is known is she did not get out of the car when told to do so, she then drove forward striking the officer while attempting to leave. All ot her actions are depicted on the video. The whole scenario and outcome are tragic.
