ICE Thug Murders Person In Minnesota

As seen in this video  --  https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/07/us/video/ice-shooting-minneapolis-digvid  -- the officer's first shot was from in front of the vehicle as the vehicle moved towards him.

After reviewing the image and video in the article Tom linked and the video you have linked my desire to maintain intellectual honesty compels me to say that it does indeed appear as though the agent initially fired his pistol as the vehicle was moving toward him. In that moment it was reasonable for him to be in fear of serious injury.

I don't think she was trying to run him over. I think she was scared and trying to get away. But that doesn't change that he was in reasonable fear.

I still maintain that the agents made several serious errors and mistakes. They probably should not have been trying to apprehend her in the first place.  She was not fully blocking the road and the agents could have drove around her. If they felt she was committing a federal crime they could have contacted the FBI. I don't think there was an immediate need for her apprehension. I also think it was foolish for the agent to place himself in front of the vehicle.

Definitely an awful situation.

If you watch the video closely, you will see that the agent walked from the passenger side around to the front of the car at which time the vehicle moved towards him.

Imagine if that woman had just gone to work that day, she would still be alive.  There is so much hate out there right now with politicians and the media trying to devide us.  If  you ask the wrong question you can be labeled a maga on one side or supporting domistic terrorisom on the other.  It should not be that way.  I think it is a fair question to ask how can all these protesters be out there on a work day, or is protesting the job they have.  In this case it looks like both sides decided to go too far.

If yoou watch this video -- https://www.cnn.com/2026/01/07/us/video/ice-shooting-minneapolis-digvid  -- you will see the actual chain of events.

I've already watched it as well as several other videos of the killing. What MAGA/Trump/Fox Nooze etc. fail to mention is that THREE ICE goons, not one, attacked the victim; that she was NOT trying to "run over" her killer, but was obviously trying to get away--as you or I might if we thought someone was about to shoot us; and that the car made slight contact with the killer but he was still able to move toward the driver's window and fire. That tells me that the killer had no reason to fear for his own safety.

The "actual chain of events" isn't completely clear, because we don't know how long the victim had been parked there or what happened in the minutes leading up to the killing. Noem's bullshit about how the victim had been driving around "stalking" the ICE thugs appears to be refuted by the beginnings of the videos showing her vehicle parked and at an angle to the road. It looks like she was trying to obstruct the road; the ICE thugs approached and tried to arrest her; the killer drew his gun, she tried to get away; the killer was inadvertently struck a minor, glancing blow by her car; enraged, he killed her.

There might be more clarifying data as the investigation continues. Apparently, the other two ICE agents filmed at least part of this incident on their phones. I doubt we'll ever see that footage, though, especially if it's incrimating to the killer.

The term "ICE goons" is a pejorative and political term used by critics of U.S. immigration enforcement to describe agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It is not an official term or a formal job title. The word "goon" is a slang term for a hired thug, an enforcer, or a person known for brutality. When applied to ICE, the term is generally used to imply that the agents: Act in a thuggish, aggressive, or violent manner. Are part of a "goon squad" or group of enforcers. Engage in actions, such as certain raids or arrests, that critics view as abusive, heavy-handed, or lawless. Conceal their identities with masks or unmarked tactical gear during operations, which some argue reduces accountability and increases public fear

This is not something open to debate.

the officer is to the left of the vehicle.    You can clearly see she steers to the right.   Look at the wheels.
If she was trying to run him over she would steer to the left.    MAGA says not to believe your lying eyes.

and they are calling her a domestic terrorist.     This single mom with no criminal" record.   The officer should be arrested for murder ....today.

I'm glad you understand what the term means and why I used it.

However, you're wrong when you say it is used by "critics of US immigration enforcement." It is used by critics of the brutal and unlawful tactics of ICE agents. They routinely ignore due process and are violent and yes, thuggish.

Neither I nor most of the people protesting this killing are opposed to legal and ethical immigration law enforcement. But you must be well aware that ICE has been playing fast and loose with the rules. They routinely arrest and detain people without warrants or probable cause. They are often unnecessarily violent.

It is neither "pejorative" nor "political" to use the term "thugs" to refer to people who use violence while acting outside the law and violating the civil rights of others.

The most loathsome and outrageous aspect of this murder isn't the killing itself--it was a horrible thing done by a poorly trained law enforcement individual who had been selected for his propensity for violence, racial hatred, and willingness to obey Trump rather than the law. But the worst part is how MAGA is trying to justify it. They're trying to blame the victim. That's disgusting.
