Hell, they don’t send regular police officers into an active shooting if it can be avoided. They use specialized swat teams whose members have regular military style training and wear full body army. Well I think it's insane to think an armed, TRAINED teacher to take a defensive stand to protect the kids wouldn't at least level the playing field. You're way exagerrating with the talk of military traing, body armor and such, that's ridiculous and I'm sure you know it as well. Tactical assaults?? SHEESH

Why are these gun free zones if guns make us so safe? The NRA won’t let people carry guns in their headquarters, but they think guns should be carried in kindergartens, grade schools, middle schools and high schools.
I agree, gun fee zones are complete joke. Your statement about the NRA in F-Fax va just shows you pull shit outt your ass when deemed necessary. The NRA HQ has one of the largest training and gun ranges in the country. Therer's literally a hundred different classes offered, bring your own weapon or they'll provide one.

I don’t have to speculate how national gun control laws impact gun violence....I can simply look to the huge host of industrialized nations around the world that have implemented them. They see the same movies and play the same video games.... but they don’t kill people with assault weapons (in large part because they don’t have access to them).

BTW I am so sick of hearing the term "assault rifle" that keeps being thrown around or "weapons of war" is another good one. The internet is full of people who can't even define what the hell they mean by it.

Australia successfully put the cat back into the bag. In a lot of ways, their country is very similar to ours as they have a similar frontier culture and most of their land is rural and sparsely populated.
