The cease-fire isn't being offered by the United States--it's being offered by Israel. So whatever people of one political bent or the other in the US want has nothing to do with Israeli policy.
How exactly is Hamas "lying" to Israel? Every hostage exchange has been carefully negotiated, and so far, both sides are living up tp the terms.
But in any case, these are ISRAEL'S actions--not ours. They are a sovereign nation.
