Mendoza might be the starting QB for the Raiders next year. =).
I don't know if his athletic skills are in the same echelon - but as far as his mental preparation and studious homework before each game he is very much like Peyton Manning in that regard.

One comparison I have heard was to Sam Bradford who was a #1 pick and played for the Rams for a bit.

Boy, talk about dooming your career...being the starting QB for a team that only wins 25% of its games and no one cares about.
I respect the quarterbacks (and any other players) who spend as much time honing the mental aspect of the game as the physical.

That's kind of you to root for your rival. The last win for Pur doo doo football over a Power 4 team was against Indiana. However, that was in November 2023. Have a good basketball season.
