There's no thread on DT getting a second SC appointment! I figured Mal would've been losing his mind by now. Let's hope DT makes a good pick, will set the court up for years to come. I thought about this a while ago and figured RBG would be the one to retire. Hell, she's a hundred yrs old and is asleep half the time. Hmm...what if she does endup  leaving (which I doubt, especially now), DT would three appointments, the dems/left would absolutely go berserk. DT hasn't even selected anyone yet and the dem leadership is already calling for him/her to be rejected not to mention the protests already happening. I'm sure there will be protest signs with an "insert name here" on them.

Ginsberg and Sotomayer might as well be the poster women for the idiotic liberal agenda. Neither one can comprehend reality and have no business as Supreme Court Justices.

I dont see what all the complaining is about.   Kennedy is not nearly the moderate he is made out to be.  He votes with the conservative side 9 out  10 times....about the same as Roberts.     We're just replacing one conservative judge with another.

The Gorsuch appointment was the real outrage and another example of how Republicans cheat at every opportunity...whether its gerrymandering districts,  suppressing voters,  suppressing early voting...whatever.

I am in the midst of a hard drive or motherboard/CPU failure on my laptop.  It clicks once like it normally does when it boots and then dies before it ever gets to windows or even the bios screen.  It took about half hour to get started yesterday and more than an hour today.  I am getting ready to pull critical files off it. I’d put a new drive in, but the damn laptop case is almost impossible to crack, and I have a stripped screw I am going to have to drill out if I want to continue to explore that. Since I am afraid it is the motherboard/CPU I am probably just going to scrap it.

Shumer was arguing against allowing a SCOTUS nomination almost 18 months prior to the 2008 elections,  claiming a lame duck president shouldn't be allowed to do it that close to a presidential election. Democrats, under Øbama, then instituted the nuclear option, allowing for a simple majority vote for confirmations. Democrats are now claiming a SCOTUS nomination and confirmation should not be able to occur close to a mid-term election, while Kagan was nominated and confirmed in August of 2010. 

PJ predictably claims Republicans are cheating when they do the same things Democrats have done. That's how he and they roll.
