I would like to see examples of some cases where they blocked a deportation. I would like to see the DOJ point out what provision of the law the judge allegedly didn't follow.
It is a judge's job to know nuanced things about the law that others may not realize.
Were these judges not following the law? Or does this petulant administration just really hate being told no?
One of the signature elements of democracy is an independent judiciary. Judges should be able to make rulings without pressure from the executive or other branches.
Conversely, one of the most prominent features of fascist regimes is a NON-independent judiciary that is controlled by the country's leader(s).
Miller calls the fired judges "corrupt" with no evidence to support that, and calls them "liberal" even though he has no idea of their political ideology. And judges are certainly allowed to have any political views they wish.
Miller is cheering one of the worst things that can happen to a democracy: the loss of an independent judicial branch of government.
