Immigration Judges Fired for Blocking Deportations

Activist judges were more interested in protecting illegal aliens than enforcing the will of the American people. Enough is enough. The era of rogue judges tying the hands of ICE and Border Patrol is over. ---  77 million Americans voted for mass deportations and a secure border. President Trump is delivering exactly what we demanded — no more excuses, no more delays, and no more activist judges standing in the way of j justice.May be an image of text that says 'Defeat Democrats @DefeatDemocrats BANG! President Trump fired 6 immigration judges for blocking deportations! Sorry liberals, but 77 MILLION of us for deportations!' --- https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=922061313924996&set=a.136629145801554

You're next.

Fireing administrative judges that don't rule the way their boss wants. What a glorious precedent that's being set. (Rolls eyes)

Put your eyes at rest - firing these corrupt liberal judges for not following the law is what happened here.

No, ruling in a way their boss don't like was why they were fired. That's truly awful.

I would like to see examples of some cases where they blocked a deportation. I would like to see the DOJ point out what provision of the law the judge allegedly didn't follow.

It is a judge's job to know nuanced things about the law that others may not realize.

Were these judges not following the law? Or does this petulant administration  just really hate being told no?

One of the signature elements of democracy is an independent judiciary. Judges should be able to make rulings without pressure from the executive or other branches.

Conversely, one of the most prominent features of fascist regimes is a NON-independent judiciary that is controlled by the country's leader(s).

Miller calls the fired judges "corrupt" with no evidence to support that, and calls them "liberal" even though he has no idea of their political ideology. And judges are certainly allowed to have any political views they wish.

Miller is cheering one of the worst things that can happen to a democracy: the loss of an independent judicial branch of government.
