If they were innocent they would immediately reject the pre-emptive pardon.
Joe will do himself and his brother James next. Probably more, Pelosi...
Nope, there aren't any charges pending so it doesn't work that way. It is a preemptive pardon.
The stupidest thing they could do is not accept that pardon as Trump has a history of interfering in criminal prosecutions.
He tried to indict John Kerry twice. He tried to indict Andrew McCabe twice. He sent the IRS after McCabe and Comy. He tried to deny Cohen parole unless he agreed to not write an unflattering book about him. All of these actions were illegal.
Despite the repeated claims of Democratic lawfare, it was actually Trump who engaged in such activities.

This is very similar to the MAGA logic that was applied to Dominion: "If they're innocent, they would just let MAGA come into their company and investigate."
Dominion instead asserted their legal rights to protect themselves against false claims and they are now systematically cashing in on the lying MAGA people and companies.
This type of "logic" or "proof" is so low IQ it is laughable.
I'm not going to bother to post all the links of Dominion's progress again, it's redundant.
So you're ok with this unprecedented overreach of pardon power? Do you think it will stand legal scrutiny by SCOTUS should it be challenged?
No surprise with pardons from worse president in my lifetime

It is not an overreach. There is no evidence any of these folks committed crimes of any kind. Yet, Trump has an enemies list and he is promising to prosecute folks on that list despite the fact they haven't committed any crimes.
The President isn't supposed to interfere with who the Department of Justice prosecutes but Trump thinks he gets to decide who gets prosecuted despite not being a prosecutor or even an attorney.
Now Trump can focus on what he promised lowering prices and cutting energy costs in half.

I bet you can't wait until Trump pardons the violent thugs that beat police officers on January 6th.
Ah, so I thought the left said lawfare was a 'conspiracy theory' by right-wing extremists. Odd this turn of events and narrative.
When do you think Joe will pardon Pelosi, James and himself (and maybe Trump)? Or do you think he'll take the car directly from the White House to assisted living and claim dementia?

Yes and yes.
