Incoming New Trump Gas Taxes

How much extra will we have to pay for every gallon of gas $.50, $1, $2 or even more?

All this from the guy who promised to lower prices on day one. Going forward, every time you MAGAs get gas and find yourself bemoaning the cost remember you built that.

Let's see Miller make excuses and Tom cite some Tom-stats to tell us that everything is bigly wonderful and those taxes will make gas cheaper.

I can't wait.

Operation Epstein Fury should conclude in 3 years.  Hold on to your panties.

Newsome's Ca gas prices are 57% higher than the national average.  Ca gas taxes are the highest in the country,  Regulations increase prices  and Newsome's regulations have caused severeal refineries to close creating a shortage and even higher prices.

In addition to state taxes, the California Energy Commission estimates that environmental compliance costs added as much as $0.54/gal as of March 2025

California also mandates a special blend of gasoline designed to reduce pollution and improve air quality. This fuel burns cleaner but is more expensive to produce because it requires more processing steps and expensive blending components. Refiners outside the state only make this blend to supply California’s market, meaning that California primarily relies on in-state refineries for its gasoline supply.

Most of the gasoline consumed in California is refined within the state due to lack of petroleum infrastructure connections. California is geographically isolated from other U.S. refining centers because no pipelines supply California from across the Rocky Mountains and only a limited number of pipelines deliver to the West Coast from the Gulf Coast. Of the refineries outside of California with physical access to the state’s gasoline markets, only a few can meet California’s stringent fuel blending requirements.

But the usual suspects are ok with that

Stupid Tom, in his thorough and extensive research, hasn't learned how to spell "Newsom."

California does what California voters want. And they want stringent pollution controls, and are willing to pay higher taxes to get them. Why that diddles stupid Tom so much is a mystery, as he doesn't live there. But boy oh boy oh boy, does he ever bitch bitch bitch about it!

Thanks for the irrelevant Tom-stats, stupid Tom! 😃😃😃😃😃

It would have been over in two weeks, and Trump would be some prison gang's butt-slave, if not for MAGA's frantic efforts to destroy/redact the files and buy enough judges to ensure a Turd-friendly outcome.

I don't live in CA, so why should I care? I do live in the US, though. MAGA sure likes additional taxes nowadays, odd.

I can only surmise that stupid Tom bitch bitch bitches about California so much because he's being a loyal Trump-slave.

Each state sets its own taxation policies. It's called democracy--s foreign concept to people like Tom. You don't like it, don't vote for it if you live there, and don't move there if you don't. Simple!!

I lived in California when many urban areas, LA in particular, were being strangled by smog. Those stringent pollution controls were absolutely necessary, due to the climate and topography of those areas.

And of course, those controls cost money. Someplace like Tay-ucks-ass would just ignore it and let people choke.

Since the west gets its gas from Ca; those states are negatively affected by Ca policies even though they didn't vote for them.

Stupid kevin

Tom told us Republicans would cut spending and gas prices.

Republicans now INCREASED government spending and are actively  accelerating it with this endeavor....and oil shot up $5 in one day.

And guess what?  Tom moved his goal posts and now says thats dandy !      Color me and the entire Tom-o-sphere surprised.
