Incoming New Trump Gas Taxes

No other state is forced to "get its gas" from California. And most of the taxes only apply if the gas is sold at retail IN CALIFORNIA. For instance, we in Oregon get almost all of our gas from CA, but the retail price is much less.

Actually the western states have to get their gas from Ca as there is minimal pipeline availability from other states.  

According to AAA, oregon's average price is $3.92 which is 31% above the national average.  This puts oregon in the top 10 in the country..  The gas tax is 40 cents ranking oregon 12th in the country.

I don’t buy gas in California and neither do you. It is a non-issue because gas everywhere is going to be going up and so is the price of everything else as the primary way goods are shipped in the US is through the trucking industry.

Don’t get me started on how much it is going to increase travel costs. Those airports in the middle east are some of the largest in the world and flights all over the world route through there.  If you are going to Europe, Asia or Africa expect to pay a lot more as worldwide capacity has taken a big hit.

We live in Az, so we are affected by their policies.  Az is one the 10 most expensive states for gas.

Bitch bitch bitch whine whine whine. The taxes you're moaning about are levied on retail, not wholesale customers--IN CALIFORNIA. California refineries produce gasoline without the anti-pollition additives that the state of California mandates. That gasoline is exported to other states.

Because Oregon cares about air quality, we consume the same formula. But we don't pay the added taxes. So even though it's the same gas, the price is lower here.

Because Arizona is run by a bunch of nasty, reactionary old farts who don't care about air quality, you consume the export formula. You also don't pay the taxes I referred to. So your gasoline is cheaper.

And boy, does it stink in Phoenix! Air quality there is horrible!

Aaahhh, that's why you're always bellyaching about CA, they got you by the balls. Colorado has a refinery.

Have you considered petitioning your State to ease the restrictions on building new refineries? If Arizona had a refinery and the state that might help. Your state governments refusal to allow a refinery probably affects gas prices in the state more than anything California does.

MAGA isn't big on self assessment, they're more of the blame everyone else type of mindset.
