So do you agree we are heading towards a recession the cause of which is the uncertainty created by Trump's economic policy? Trump said on Sunday he wouldn't rule out a recession caused by his polices.
Think about that for a minute. Trump knows his economic polices are creating a worldwide recession and he says tough shit. Is someone fit to hold office when they intentionally drive the economy off the cliff because they think the result will be more money in his and his billionaire buddies pockets.
Trump and Elon want a recession becuause they are counting on comeing out the other side with having shifted the tax burden entirely upon the middle class and they simply don't care they are condemning the middle class to a lower standard of living.
It's possible there will be a recession. It won't be due to 'uncertainty' though. I can give you several much better reasons.
1 The consumer is in debt and tapped out..
Americans are behind on car payments at a record level
Americans' credit card debt reaches new record high: New York Federal Reserve - ABC News
These have to do with Bidenflation we went through and not any Trump policy.
2. Trump is cutting government spending before it bankrupts us. He's laying off a large number of federal employees and cutting spending on a lot of non-essential programs. That is deflationary and also removing stimulus which could certainly lead to a contraction. The fact is that we borrowed 1.9 trillion dollars last year, our national debit is at a historic level and it's not sustainable.
3 The Fed raised interest rates 11 times to attack inflation caused by Biden and the Democrats reckless spending. Maybe they acted too slowly and kept them high too long. Since you're predicting a recession, then they should be cutting now, right? RIGHT?
All that said, I'm shocked that while you're quick to blame Trump and Musk for 'shifting a tax burden' and 'condemning the middle class to a lower standard of living', that you never once attacked the Biden administration for the declining real wages working class America experienced for much of his term. Those are real losses that will never be recouped as opposed to your imagined losses that are pure speculation.
And don't forget if you really believe Trump and Musk are trying to shift the tax burden to the middle class, please explain how he could possibly have proposed No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime and No Tax on Social Security. Those are all policies that support the working men and women of this country contrary to your wild assertion.
Of course it's just as possible that a recession will be caused by democrat fear mongering as 'uncertainty'.
