The lowest hanging fruit in balancing the budget is going after the 600 billion dollars of people who dont file returns. Republicans (and Tom) arent the least bit interested in going after people who cheat on their taxes. They sure as hell dont have a solution for it. The study had a legitimate purpose, even though MAGAs are SOOOOOO kerfuffled by the very idea of transgender people. The idea was to determine how much menstruation depends on a biological clock and how much on a mental clock--in this instance, does the cerebrum affect what happens in the cerebellum in terms of women's hormonal changes.
The existence of transgender men who experience menstrual symptoms provided a unique experimental platform for this study, in that such individuals don't have female hormones provoking the menstrual cycle, other than whatever medications they take. So there could be a higher-brain-function element to menstruation, which if identified, could have significant impact on women's medicine. In other words, the study provided a unique experiemental perspective.
