PJ.  I can explain it to you again, but I can't understand it for you.  You and your ilk GAVE Ukraine a blank check and escalated that war at every turn.  You won't be satisfied until they fight to the last Ukrainian.  Biden authorized both cluster munitions and anti-personnel land mines that are banned by 3/4 of the world.  He gave away hundreds of billions of weapons and also paid for Ukrainian worker pensions and social services, while our cities rot and we're hopelessly in debt. Joe never once reached out to Putin to even try to talk.   Because warmongers would rather pay for a forever war than try to work out a peace deal.

Trump will be SELLING Patriot missile systems and other DEFENSIVE weapons to our European allies, who will give them to Ukraine.  We make money.  Fewer Ukrainians die.  The EU pays for it.  What's not to like?  That is not an escalation. That prevents death.  And if you can't see the difference between giving them banned weapons that kill indiscriminately and selling defensive weapons to our NATO allies that save Ukrainian lives, maybe it would help if I drew it out with crayons for you.  I have never once changed my position on this.  Here, let me simplify it for you:

Hundreds of billions of US taxpayers dollars to kill Russians in a forever war BAD

Refusing to try to negotiate an end to this madness BAD

Sales of Defensive weapons systems to our NATO allies that save lives in Ukraine GOOD.

Rentlessly trying to get a ceasefire and eventual peace deal  GOOD.

Working out a deal that benefits both Ukraine and the US to develop Ukraine's natural resources GOOD.

We can go back and fourth about the futility of Trump's limp dick attempts at diplomacy asking Putin  to stop attacking Ukraine....and how Trump was played like a fiddle for the past 6 months.   And you can wave your pom-poms for him in that effort.    But thats not the topic.

THe topic was people who gaslight about WW3.    You did.    You made it clear why.   And now you have the same opinion about supplying Ukraine as the people you ridiculed 6 months ago - callinbg them warhawks and neo-cons.

I think a lot of folks, including the scientists who have controlled the Doomsday clock since 1949, were concerned that Joe Biden's Autopen might make a miscalculation.  If you think that the largest armed conflict on European soil since WW2, with the country that has the largest supply of nuclear weapons, can't escalate to WW3, well, I don't know what to tell you.  My opinion hasn't changed.  It still can go nuclear.

But I support selling these defensive weapons to our NATO allies for Ukraine.  That is not the same as escalating the war with hundreds of billions of dollars of offensive weapons like cluster bombs and anti-personnel mines that are banned by most civilized countries.  I'm sorry your Trump hatred doesn't allow you to comprehend the difference.

Dear God, angry Chuck, you're STOOPID. What you label "offensive weapons" are actually munitions that are used to deny territory to enemy troops...and guess where the war is being fought? Ukrainian territory. They're being used by Ukraine to DEFEND itself.

I feel like I'm talking to a child. What good are mines and cluster bombs to an advancing army? When used, they block territory...and why would the Russians want to build a barrier in front of their own army?

Let's say an enemy has occupied 20% of our country--say, China has invaded and occupied Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Arizona. Now, Putin, as "peacebroker," demands that we surrender and cede all the conquered territory to the heathen Chinee.

Would you advocate for surrender? Or would you tell Putin to pound sand?
