Iranians celebrate worldwide after supreme leader is killed in Israeli strikes

Interesting that Iranians are cheering and lib Americans are protesting -   Videos showed people across Iran and all over the world honking horns, cheering and waving flags as news of ayatollah's death spreads -People also celebrated in the Iranian cities of Shiraz and Abadan, "where the people are out on the streets till the wee hours of the night in celebration of an Iran that is on the brink of finding its freedom after almost five decades," according to Lisa Daftari, editor at The Foreign Desk. -- Iranian people also cheered the news in other parts of the world, such as Madrid, London, Berlin, Armenia and the United States. -"Iranians poured onto the streets cheering, clapping, waving the lion and sun flag, dancing openly and singing the old national anthem. It’s hard to imagine a people so starved for freedom, so desperate for justice, that they are cheering military strikes on their own soil as the price of liberation." - https://www.foxnews.com/world/iranians-celebrate-worldwide-supreme-leader-khamenei-killed-israeli-strikes

I wish nothing but the best for the people of Iran. I hope a Government that represents the people and protects individual freedom arises from the ashes.

They are almost certainly better off with the ayatollah gone.

It will be interesting to see what happens next. Will Reza Pahlavi be installed as the new leader?

yep!  We'll be greeted as liberators, the Republicans say!    Trump is running the exact playbook Bush did and the one Trump ridiculed since 2016.

Why do we have money for regime change in Iran?   But we tell Ukraine it's not our job to give them weapons to stave off a Russian invasion of Europe?

unless we put boots on the ground the next leader in Iran will come from the group with the most guns which is the Iranian National guard - in other words, the same group that's running it now.

Well, the Ayatollah is now eligible to vote in 20 blue states.

 Probably multiple times in each.

We have money to blow up Iran real good but not to fund SNAP or the National Park Service or the CDC.

We have money to kill people in Venezuela but not to fund the NOAA or Medicaid.

We have money to build Trump a golden throne room and a triumphal arch, but we have to make everybody pay more for groceries and shove the extra money into Trump's pocket.

Undeclared wars are illegal and immoral, but aside from that, they are horribly expensive. You'd think that "the party of fiscal responsibility" 😂😂😂 would tell Trump that.

First and foremost, their fate is not ours to decide.

And please explain to us why being ruled by an evil strongman in the prime of life is any better than being ruled by an evil, doddering 86-year-old. Methinks it might be worse.

The solution to the Iran situation would be for us to foster and support a people's revolution. The new Iran would be a strong ally and the nuclear weapons problem would be solved.

However, the Republipigs are all Zionists and slaves to Israel's will. Israel would never allow it.

Excuse me? When did I say their fate is "ours to decide"?

I said I wish the people nothing but the best. I also said I hope they are able to institute a government that works out well for them.

I did speculate that they will be better off without the ayatollah. That certainly doesn't mean I support or endorse what I believe to be an unconstitutional action.

I then posed a question about whether the eldest son of the former Shaw will end up as a leader. I never sad whether he should or shouldn't be.

I am unable to make the explanation you requested of me because I am not sure I agree with the premise.

I don't have enough information about either hypothetical leader to speculate.
