Is a 62% to 37% margin a really big victory?

In an Alabama special election, a Democratic State House candidate flipped a formerly Republican-held seat, WINNING BY 25%. In the last election, the Republican won by 7%.

I suppose we'll know for sure in November just how big of an issue women's fundamental rights might be. The IVF thing probably won't matter outside Alabama, as only the very dimmest Republicans will continue to flog the issue after what happened there.

I'm thinking that the key to a blue wave is to get women to the polls, like in 2022. It's kind of tragicomic that the evil crusade finally completed by the Republicans just might turn out to be the death of their party. Turns out that the evangelical PRESHUS BAYBEES crowd is dwarfed by the "Don't tell us what we can and can't do with our own bodies" crowd. Who knew?

The irony about abortion is that those who advocate for it are actually the ones who it should of had it happen to them.
