Since the United States has territorial rights over wide swaths of the Gulf, it is able to rename the territorial waters on an official basis.

The Two Republican Senators from Alaska have already introduced a bill to change the mountain back to Denali. Trump's proclamation's aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
