We know, of course, that there will always be a certain population of fawning Trump love-slaves, like our resident idiots on this board, but what about the rest of the people who "went Trump" in 2016? Do you think they have been, can be, or will be cured?

The midterms were somewhat of an indication that the Trump meat loaf in the back of the fridge may be starting to rot. And now, of course, we have rape and treason to add to Trump's resume. How many Cons have left the fold of the faithful and in November, will quietly stay home--or even vote for the Democratic candidate?

One thing's for sure--the cesspool of Trumpers is not being added to. How do we know? Because Trump stooges on Fox News have been bleating about people "flocking" to Trump's side. When Fox News says it, you know it's not happening. They're a perfect reverse barometer (bonus points if you remember what movie that phrase is from). Trump has done nothing to encourage people to join him--yes, I know, idiots might sign up, but they were already firmly in his camp.

This election will be decided, not by the Democratic candidate's appeal or message, but by the degree to which people are disgusted by Trump--and by "people," I mean Republicans, who aren't really people, but I'm willing to expand the definition at this point. So I ask: do you think Trump-nausea will be a significant factor in the upcoming election? How many Republicans will pull a Romney and grow a pair/a conscience?

I think that number is tiny, but I've heard a lot of hopeful punditry lately that says that it's much larger than has been apparent so far--that many Con voters are biding their time. What do you think?
