Isn’t That Special Members Of The Trump Family Don’t Have To Pay Taxes Anymore

The United States RELEASES, WAIVES, ACQUITS, and FOREVER DISCHARGES" the plaintiffs and is "FOREVER BARRED and PRECLUDED from prosecuting or pursuing, any and all claims, counterclaims, causes of action, appeals, or requests for any relief" against Trump or related parties.

I think the settlement likely violates federal law.

In the interest of accuracy, I should mention that my understanding is this is only for previous tax filings before the date of the settlement. I don't think the settlement has anything to do with future fillings.

Forever is the key word and then it says any and all claims.  So that's not my take at all as they woulden't have used that language if it was meant to solely apply to past offenses.

Yes. Forever barred from pursuing matters that could have stemmed  from the current case or any pending case before the date of the agreement

That just proves that the Trump courts aren't courts any more.

BTW, irrespective of that "FOREVER" language, the cases can indeed be reopened and new charges filed at any time. Even the Supreme Court doesn't have the power to stop all other courts dead in their tracks.

Is this part of "the swamp" we've been hearing so much about.

This wasn't a court decision. This was a settlement between Trump and the Department of Justice.

Current president is that future prosecutors must honor the agreements of their predecessors.

I think this settlement will be found to be illegal because it violates a federal statute that prohibits The government from influencing IRS audits.

The settlement is a phantom anyway. A future administration can file a court case claiming that the DOJ was coerced/biased. I agree that precedent discourages such filings, but they aren't illegal or unlawful. Besides, the Turd has done a few hundred unprecedented things, so all bets are off.

You mean he pardoned his son?   like Biden did with Hunter?

OMG.

Im sure our resident MAGA posters are equally furious.  Right guys?
