Cruise my neighborhood and you'll see more than a few groups, I'm guessing mostly of hispanic descent, doing yard work, mowing the lawns, cutting trees and more for those of us who can't or won't do it.  Thank God for them because my husband can no longer do this work, nor can I. 

Think of the investments they make to do the work:  Trucks, trailers, lawn mowers, weed eaters, bags, and not to mention gasoline to power their engines and their trucks to drive to the jobs.  If not for them my neighborhood wouldn't look nearly as nice.  I haven't seen a white person doing this work other than whose who can and will do their own; maybe a few white teenage sons of the few white parents who insist their kids put their video games down and get out and cut their grass.

Who is engaged in roofing in your neighborhoods?  It certainly isn't a contingent of white American men.  

I've already told the story of Tyson Foods in the NW part of our state who hire 'foreigners' to work the unpleasant chicken plant work.  Nobody else will do it.  I have no data, but I know many are supporting families.  I'm sure they'd move on to more pleasant working conditions if they could find them.  I'd guess all forms of food processing plants hire 'foreigners' to do the work necessary to put food on our tables.

Thank God for immigrants, whether newly minted American citizens, legal immigrants, or 'illegal', whatever that might mean in a given situation, who are willing to do these jobs that make my life easier.

Years ago a Filipino nurse was brought to the US as part of a program addressing the nursing shortage.  I don't recall all the 'legal' nomenclature.  But while she worked as a nurse, and did what was necessary to gain American citizenship (years), she was able to sponsor three of her sisters to come to the US from the Phillipines.  As soon as they got here she drove them around town for two weeks to apply for jobs.  After those two weeks, two of the sisters had obtained two jobs, and one had three.  Did they "take" jobs from Americans?  She happened to meet and marry my brother, a doctor.  They raised four sons, outstanding productive citizens.  Her sisters (and their mom and dad, now deceased of course) likewise are all productive naturalized American citizens, gainfully employed.  From that one 'immigrant' a whole train load of productive family members (she is one of 13 siblings!) has graced the US productively.

Candy - what are we supposed to do with the 8+m that biden let into the country?  Most are living in tents , hotels and on the streets. They don't speak English & have limited education. How about the illegals that just raped two 13 year olds in Queens, the illegal who just cut up a 12 year old girl, the illegal who killed the mother of 5 & the illegal truck driver who killed a driver.  All this happened this week.

      I think that these illegals should be housed in liberal, bleeding heart homes - especially in "sanctuary" cities. Currently "sanctuary" cities are going bankrupt providing for these illegals - I wonder just how much longer this will last? Cities like Denver are shipping these illegals to UTAH, and the citizens there are not happy. The current situation with the 8-10-15 (?) million illegals is just now materializing and will only get worse the next few years. All of you imbeciles that voted DemocRat should be PROUD of yourselves - this is all on you.

In 2013 the Gang of 8, 4 Democrats and 4 Republicans worked in the Senate and passed a comprehensive immigration bill, but the Republican House never brought it to the floor.  The Republicans passed the 2023 House Bill HR2, but the Democratic Senate did not take up the bill. In February 2024 the Senate passed a Border Bill that includes foreign aid, Mike Johnson says it's dead on arrival in the House, then passes foreign aid legislation much like the Bill provided.

So, MAGA build a wall, and let Fox News feed you the "crime wave" news that you love. Trump had the majority in the House and Senate and decided that building a wall and taking $5 billion from DOD by Executive Order to build it was better than passing permanent legislation. He is also so stupid that he insulted the Dems that he could negotiate with to pass something, instead of making a deal. 

  Stupid? That's is nosense - the border issue is not subject to "a deal". The February 2024 Border Bill is a farce that had unwarrented and unwanted attachments that ensured that the bill would be DOA. Get your facts straight and try telling the WHOLE truth for once. You lying liberals are all the same - giving half truths while painting an untrue picture of reality.

There should be NO negotations about a border bill - if brain dead Biden had of left the border alone - as President Trump had made it - America would not be dealing with the illegal alien invasion that has occured.
