The federal government (Bush, Obama, Trump led) did not honor their contract to reduce her student loans because of the purpose and location of her subsequent employment. So we ended up paying it off in full. But we do NOT resent the fact that later, others were able to get their contracts honored.
We don't resent it because we're not infants.
