It is official Biden drops out

Now, I suppose, the question is whether it will be Harris or someone else. The primary issue, of course, is: there is no "someone else" waiting in the wings.

That said, I hope the Democrats don't rush things. They need to determine who has the best chance against the Turd--that should be the ONLY consideration. I fantasize about Mayor Pete or Elizabeth Warren absolutely destroying Trump in a debate, but they're probably not going to be considered.

Some evaluations say that Harris is a stronger politician than she was four years ago, and that she can appeal to black and female voters more than Biden could. But of course, there are the voters who hate black people and women...who are mostly MAGAs.

What do you think would be best? Harris or someone else, and if so, who? And aside from the answer to the next question, who do you think the Democrats will choose?

My answer is: they should choose Mayor Pete, but they will choose Harris.

I would think the Dems can win this now if they can serve up a semi-competent candidate that's brain is not scrambled.  Right?

You're not so thick as to not realize that what matters here is NOT Biden's capability--it's the public's perception of it. We can debate how fit Biden is until we turn blue in the face. But that's not the issue of concern. We have to beat Trump. All other considerations are secondary. And Biden's chances against Trump would be lousy.

The conservitard propaganda machine gleefully pounced on every geffe and stumble Biden made, while of course ignoring every similar glitch from Trump. They successfully painted a picture of a feeble old man who could barely function--and the public bought it. You bought it. Stupid Tom bought it. Millerscum bought it.

If he isn't capable of another term he should resign now. 

So they are looking at word salad harris  who in 2 democratic campaigns would have never received a vote for president. 

And the democrats say the Republicans are a threat to democracy?

My choices would be either Governor Roy Cooper of NC or Governor Andy Beshear of KY.  They both are governors of former slave states.   Plus, they are both moderates who have to work with Republican legislatures.  They will probably choose Harris.

Here is how it will likely play out. Harris will run for President.  A male conservative Democrat from a red/purple state will be her running mate. The most likely names for the VP spot are Beshear, Shapiro or Cooper.

I agree Jerry. It looks like Americans are going have the choice between a prosecutor and a felon for their next President. It should be an easy choice.
