My choices would be either Governor Roy Cooper of NC or Governor Andy Beshear of KY.  They both are governors of former slave states.   Plus, they are both moderates who have to work with Republican legislatures.  They will probably choose Harris.

I'm betting on Whitmer - that gives the ticket Michigan and doubles down on the pro-choice agenda which they both speak to infinitely better than Joe does.   Women have been the deciding factor in every election  since Republicans overturned Roe.    Dont underestimate that force in this election.

 

Joe was a great president and a great role model.   And  a lousy candidate.    He's done more than any president since LBJ.
