It turns out that they asked Trump nicely for the documents to be returned.

There was a subpoena in June that he apparently failed to lawfully comply with.

 

I guess some people think that they are above the law.

Let me guess--he claimed "executive privilege," which in Trump Land, makes him innocent of all crimes, including treason and murder.
