We are witnessing the result of the same old tired conservative economic expirement. Cutting taxes does not increase government revenue. Borrowing trillions of dollars to cut taxes is even worse. Add in a mentally unstable President that acts like and uses the same language as a third world authoritan dictator and you have a recipe for economic armageddon.
Mark, when you report back to me what happened to tax revenues during the Reagan years, then I'll believe you.

Ronnie rasied taxes in seven of his eight years in office. All in all, he rasied taxes 11 times.
They've already moved the date of the debt ceiling forward as a direct result of the new tax cuts. So the GOP promise of those tax cuts paying for themselves has disintegrated in less than one month.
And I'm sure all the people who cried bloody murder about the shrinking deficits under Obama will be very quiet about the rising deficits under President Putin.
If I ever post a hateful, baseless claim like "The President fabricated the employment numbers" please call me out on it. To date the only people on these boards who ever said things like that are on your side of the aisle.

Any Republican elected would have had a positive effect on the financial markets, due to deregulation and less goverment interference. Republicans are more business freindly. I was surprised that Trump won the nomination, beating the field of 16 better qualified contenders. I thought the Dems had been given an early Christmas present, believing the only person that Hillary could beat was Trump.
Time and Time again I heard this quote "I don't like Trump but I can not vote for Hillary". So in my opinion we have Trump, thanks to the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Shultz and Hillary. Micheal Moore was quoted " Why couldn't we have ran somebody that was likeable, Barbara Striesand or Tom Hanks". Any one other than Hillary would have beaten Trump. He had a ton of baggage and so many character flaws, She still lost. I really hope she just fades away, she makes me sick. I blame her for this mad man in the White house.
Once again, Liberals don't understand things. The economy is roaring, as a result of conservative measures. Tax revenues will follow.
Its not hard to spur growth when you infuse lots of cash into the economy. Makes good sense when we are in a recession. I fail to see the logic of doing it with an economy near full employment.
In any event we are now expected to see a trillion dollar deficit next year. Thats with the roaring economy.
But in Republicans' defense their reign of power has no yet ended. They may yet balance the budget.....Its very possible they'll introduce legislation that raises the retirement age to 70 for Medicare and Social Security...or something equally draconian. They sure as hell aren't going to cut military spending....and there's nothing else with enough cash to offset their welfare checks for billionaires.
