It's OK to call it the "China Virus"

********quote*****

Excerpts:

On Friday's Real Time show on HBO, host Bill Maher delivered another of his lectures against his fellow liberals on the issue of political correctness as he argued that they should stop trying to shield China in its culpability for allowing the deadly COVID-19 virus to get out by claiming that valid criticisms of China are racist.

The HBO host listed a significant number of times that serious diseases have been named after the geographic locations from which they originated, and several of the viruses that have come from China over several decades.

So when someone says, "What if people hear 'Chinese virus' and blame China?" The answer is: We should blame China. Not Chinese-Americans, but we can't stop telling the truth because racists get the wrong idea. There are always going to be idiots out there who want to indulge in their prejudices, but this is an emergency.

This topic is so clear that ever Maher gets it.

The cable channel OANN is a Trump favorite, and their White House correspondent said that the virus was created in North Carolina.

Shouldn't you Trump fanboys be calling it the North Carolina Virus?

Call it whatever you want, it won't change the fact it originated in China.

Bill Maher also says its ok to call Donald Trump a traitor to the UNited States of America.

Hey, one out of two aint bad.    DonDIego should get tickets for his next show in Nashville.

We have already accepted that he got the name of the virus correct - so then, you were right when you said one out of two ain't bad.

Mister, you throw a lots of shit against the wall, yet nothing sticks because you provide no proof.  Please make your case about the virus starting in North Carolina and try not to make us laugh again.

Newscast video on this page, showing one of President Trump's favorites, OAN correspondent Chanel Rion. Enjoy!

Now Boilerman, name another time I didn't back up a claim. Otherwise, you are, you know, the laughingstock.

I read the entire article and watched the video and I urge others who read @Mister's comments to do the same.  Mister, please tell me specifically what within the article convinced you that the virus began in Research Triangle.  On a side note, Research Triangle is home to my first college pitching performance vs NC State.  We also played nearby University of North Carolina (site of the lab in question), and I somehow escaped without being exposed to the corona beer virus.  In an effort to provide full transparency, this baseball trip to the state happened over 40 years ago, and there was no Corona beer in the United States at that point.  In a further effort at transparency, my fastball has dropped from the low to mid 90's then to somewhere in the 40's now.

I never said that the virus began in North Carolina. I said that the dingy correspondent who works for the dingy OAN cable network alleged that. And that she is one of our dingy president's favorites.
