I'm not following any political news, but I do still read international news. What happened with the Russia/Ukraine war? Isn't it supposed to be resolved by now? It's been over 24 hours, odd.

What should happen? What are your expectations?
he's made some comments about it
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cjw4q7v7ez1o
He said he would have it resolved before he took office.
But instead he's plowing us towards WW3 or whatrever other hyprbolic bullshit conservatives were crying about.
Isnt it funny how they measure everything differently now?

Trump said he would have the war solved in 24 hours, I didn't expect it, but it was parroted on this forum.
His first failure.

And he'll have more of those. Russia's in-house status / conditions are pretty awful right now..his economic legs are pretty short currently. Trump's threats of deeper sanctions / tarriffs against Putin might have some effect..we'll see.
Russia's currency has plummeted to the point of it being worthless on the world stage
They lost over half of their military equipment including their best ships and spy jets.
They lost more soldiers in this endeavor than we did in Vietnam in a fraction as long of time.
They lost even more men under the age of 30 who fled the country when the draft orders were sent out.
They lost their biggest customer of natural gas when Europe permanently cut them off in favor of US LNG.
They lost their control of Syria and the puppet dictator they were propping up there.
Remind me again why this has been a negative outcome for the US.

Lots of Russian men under 30 currently hiding out in SE Asia to avoid the draft.
And dont forget about Finland who joined NATO.
You can bet Putin has regretted his invasion of Ukraine almost as much as Safam Hussein regretted his invasion of Kuwait.

My expectations are that despite all his bluster and unrealistic expectations, Trump will have about as much influence as a mouse fart on the outcome; and nonetheless, any positive outcome, and he will take credit for it.
