Jeff Sessions Has Been Fired

Toddler Trump is throwing a tantrum today. First, he held a bizarre presser where among other things he blamed House Republicans for loosing. Now he has fired Sessions.

Edited to add: It looks like Trump violated the law as explained by Fox News.

Trump announced that in replacement of Sessions, Matt Whitaker would become the new acting attorney general.

However, Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano explained to Fox News host Dana Perino how Trump could be breaking the law with his new appointee.

Napolitano explained that Whitaker was not confirmed by the Senate and therefore violates the law.

“Under the law, the person running the Department of Justice must have been approved by the United States Senate for some previous position. Even on an interim post,” Napolitano said.

Napolitano continued saying that next in line for the position is Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

I am sure proper protocall will ensue concerning who will be the next acting attorney general. With Sessions resignation, someone has to fill the void until a permanent replacement is named. Or would you wanna-be lawyers rather that no one fill the void until the Senate has approved a replacement? 

The Department of Justice has a clear line of succession.  The guy Trump put in charge isn't in that line of succession and has to be confirmed by the Senate before he can get in that line.

As of last night we officially have a House that will do its job and enforce checks and balances - something thats been missing for 2 years.

Trump has a little under 2 months before they take office.   And he is terrified.    Firing the people investigating him will result in as much success as the last president who tried that strategy.    Shit is about to get real !
