Johnny Ratcliffe points out obvious flaw in the Mueller report

Donald Trump does not deserve special treatment.  Mueller did give Trump special treatment.........in a fully unique, unprecedented and negative fashion.

Get ready for the onslaught of idiotic postings from the resident delusional liberals who hate duly elected and loved President Trump.

Trump absiolutely got special treatment from Mueller as testified to today

“I’d like to ask you the reason, again, that you did not indict Donald Trump is because of OLC [Office of Legal Counsel] opinion stating that you cannot indict a sitting president, correct?” Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) asked Mueller.

Mueller’s response was straightforward: “That is correct.

Anyone else would be sitting in jail awaiting trial right now.

It was unprecented that anyone from the DOJ, including Mueller wrote, and I'm summerizing, that we couldn't prove that Trump ubstructed, but we couldn't prove othersise?  Yes, that is unprecented.  As Johnny said, Trump "should not be above the law, nor should he be below law".

Does PJ disagree with any of this analysis?

Yes - I most certainly do disagree.   I'm going to introduce you to a new vocabulary word, Boilerman.

"Jurisdiction"   I encourage you to look it up.

Mueller cant indict the president for the same reason he cant write you a speeding ticket.    And he said as much today.  See his quote from my last post.

Pretty enlightening, huh?

The only "enlightening" thing is, once again, the DemocRats have shown just how petty and useless they are.

"Ah, I see. So you mean any random person who wasn't the president of the United States but who was nonetheless under special counsel investigation for conspiring with a foreign power to throw a presidential election and who then fired the FBI director and threatened the special counsel's investigation would be indicted for obstruction of justice? Don't be ridiculous.

Every alleged act of obstruction on the part of Trump follows from the fact that he's the president of the United States and head of the branch of government that was attempting to investigate him. It's impossible to imagine the series of actions and events recounted in the section of the Mueller Report devoted to obstruction of justice involving anyone in the world other than the president."

Mueller took back that response to Liu in the afternoon. Try to keep up, but it is obvious that mueller couldn't.

Yep. Mueller said (about the statement PJ quotes): "That is not the correct way to say it."  He then said: "We did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime."

Sigh, that is because by existing law he could not. All he can do is gather evidence (which there is plenty) and issue a report.

Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) asked Mueller whether the president tried to protect himself by ordering staff to falsify records, and the former special counsel agreed, and Mueller also agreed those actions were intended to hamper the investigation.

“I believe that to be true,” Mueller said.

“Could you charge the president with a crime after he left office?” Buck asked.

“Yes,” Mueller said, without hesitation.

“You believe that he committed — you could charge the President of the United States with obstruction of justice after he left office?” Buck continued.

“Yes,” Mueller agreed.
